Tax Exempt Status
During the 1970’s the Children’s Emergency Council was incorporated and received tax exempt status as a 501c3 organization. The name changed in 2009 to the Children’s Emergency Food Bank. Since 1969 the Food Bank has distributed food to clients Monday through Friday. Clients call our answering service requesting food. The service then calls our volunteer who contacts the client, discusses our eligibility requirements, and sets an appointment for a food distribution.
